Truckers honking in DC... Motorists demanding that Congress "do something" about high gas prices... and the bad guy? Big Goddam Oil of course. Here is their latest shenanigans...
ExxonMobil shuts in 800,000 BOPD of Nigerian oil on a Force Majeur basis due to a labor strike... seems the laborers are striking in support of an insurgency movement that thinks all profits should go to the people. Apparently all costs and risk should go to multinational corporations, but ExxonMobil is too short-sighted to see this as good.
Royal Dutch Shell had the unmitigated gall to allow a similarly aligned Nigerian militant group to bomb its facilities, knocking out 350,000 barrels per day.
Dark deeds indeed by these major oil companies to disrupt the supply of oil, all just to screw truckers and American drivers that have grown dependent on fuel that was 1/2 to 1/4 the cost of fuel in Europe.
It is time to call for "Universal Gasoline Care" and get our mommi... I mean leaders to take care of us, I mean, it, once and for all.
I do offer a (surely unwanted) little suggestion to truckers. wanna know how to deal with high diesel costs? Charge more to transport, or get out of a business that is too competitive for you.
