Since I no longer find the Congress has ANY limits to dispicable power-grab behaviors, I don't know why I am surprised that it would try to ram down the biggest tax and control on every industry ever conceived in our country without debate, without presentation to committee, and, from most accounts, without even having been read by the folks voting on it.

For every Democrat friend that warned me about how Evil Republicans could maybe possibly perhaps try to use the Patriot Act to take away my Civil Liberties, I say "What in the Hell is your party doing? I have lost more in the last 6 months than I have lost in my entire life, and it is all part of the crazy people that have highjacked the once-great Democratic Party.

We are definitely moving towards status in the world as just another Socialist regime...if we aren't there already.

Socialism is an ugly duckling until it is compared to the face of capitalism that stares back at us in these articles.

If America approves of this type of capitalism, I do not know how it could object to evil.

Fred, it is interesting that the name of your referenced website is "trueslant". I would suggest that the truth requires no slant. It also needs no spin. It doesn't beg for interpretation or explanation...it just IS. Maybe a website called "truthinalovelycreamsaucewithchardonnay" would be more appropriate. I approve of the kind of capitalism that keeps guys like you signing the back of the paychecks.

CnB, it is interesting that you do about the same thing Matt observed Fareed Zakaria doing: straining at a proverbial gnat (the title of Matt's blog) but swallowing the camel of financial, political and moral abominations discussed in those blogs.
