Whew! After many years of hearing virulent anti-American statements defended as "Free Speech" by Teddy, and one or another ill-defined Kennedy kid (like a wacky Katzenjammer Kid) extolling Hugo Chavez as a hero, RFK Jr. has joined his uncle John as a proud defender of America and its interests, instead of reflexively dropping to his knees to gum the appendages of tin pot commie dictators like his cousins.
RFK Jr at the Live Earth Concert defined Politicians Who Question Global Warming as Traitors and denial as Treasonous!
As disturbing as this is, at least I find solace that a living Kennedy actually believes in Treason as a concept! I thought the Patriot gene had died off with Jack and Joe Jr.. Little left to dribble down to RFK and Teddy's progeny.
So... 8% of democrats and 88% of republicans aredefin ed as Traitors by baby RIFK. A recent Gallup poll showed that 65% or so of the voting public were "skeptics", thus, apparently Traitors. That's a whole lot of treason going on. Of course he said "politicians", so perhaps he holds them to a different standard than citizens, as we all do, albeit a much lower one. Maybe he meant that only the Politicians are traitors if they hold the same beliefs as the majority of Americans. Now THAT'S a "Profile in Courage"!
My bet is that baby RIFK and those that share his peculiar interpretation of what Treason means think that the harassment in the 1950's by the House Un American Activities Committee of ACTUAL communists that WERE actual agents of the USSR and DID give the Soviet Union American Military Secrets and DID actively coopt our entertainment sector to promulgate pro Soviet propoganda all of which IS verified by released KGB files is a "trampling of civil rights".
I wonder what would Hanoi Jane say?

I dunno. Just recognizing the concept of Treason will not help if it is applied to all the wrong people, as Cindy Sheehan would like to do.

Baby steps, Joe. All we can expect is baby steps. That these folks are actually acknowledging a "right and wrong" outside of the paradigm of "Republicans and apparently Republicans only in this world are Evil". Even though global warming skeptics are 10% democrat and 88% republican, it is a step away from Republican Only Hatred. Although I suspect some Strong Joe Lieberman hatred amongst the kool aid drinkers.
